How to get the number of chars, which fit in the currently displayed TCC-window?
Or in other words: How many columns fit in the current TCC-window?
The number, which changes if the window-size or the font-size is changed significantly...

Adding to that, number of characters =/= number of columns in a terminal window.
You haven't heard of wide characters, did you?
