    Keystack mangles 'special' characters

Thanks. I may try this next time I need to get information about fonts.

Delete command sets directory attributes to hidden & system

Done. Installed WindowsXP in Virtualbox. Tried to install TCMD12, it does not like SP1. Installed SP3, installed TCMD12.11.71. Tried my testcase, problem is there. Installed TCMD12.11.72, problem is gone. Installed 4NT8.02, tried my testcase, problem does not exist.

    Keystack mangles 'special' characters

Hmm, no such tab in the properties that I see. Possibly a Win7 thing? My system is "TCC 12.11.71 Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]", which I failed to mention in the beginning. But I found out: Leave the cursor on the file name for a second, and the popup description says: TrueType font file.

    Keystack mangles 'special' characters

I am using the true type font "Lucida Console". I think this is is a Unicode font, but I am not sure. How do I find out?

Delete command sets directory attributes to hidden & system

Thanks, that sure fixes the problem. No more crazy directory attributes! I think I will keep that version. How can I decide which of the three possible reasons for the behavior I have? I plan to install a virtual machine with just Windows and the two different TCMD versions. That should at...

    Keystack mangles 'special' characters

I wanted to use KEYSTACK to put some special characters on the command line. Special as in '\' and '|'. What happens is that I have keystack "getfiles.btm |& tee C:\temp\getfiles.log" and I get from that getfiles.btm <& tee C:ßtempßgetfiles.log which of course does not work. More...

Delete command sets directory attributes to hidden & system

Well, if you say that what happened between 17:41:05.0925476 and 17:41:05.0932653 (according to my Procmon log file) has nothing to do with the hidden and archive attributes on the directory AH, then I will just have to believe you. Ulrich

Delete command sets directory attributes to hidden & system

Yes, same here, if you only look after the batch is finished. But while it runs, in my example after the first "del /x" at 17:41:05, the directories AH, AHS, AS, H, HS and S get the according attributes. At the very end, everything is back to normal directory attributes. Does your setup behave...

Delete command sets directory attributes to hidden & system

Hello, I am sorry to revive this old thread from the dead, but has this ever been solved? This was one of the first problems with TCMD12 that I noticed after my transition from 4NT8, but I decided I could live with it. (I included code to remove all unwanted attributes into my disk cleanup...

    Timeout during Registration

Well, it looks like this is exactly what I need. I was informed that they will not remove the block, it is not a bug, it is a feature. Thanks Ulrich

    Timeout during Registration

I forgot all about the new key. I tried it now, it does not change anything, still get a timeout. Also I can not go to OPTION / Internet, because now the 30 days are expired, and I can choose between "Buy now" (gets me the web page), "Register" (gives a timeout), or "Exit" (which unsurprisingly...

    Timeout during Registration

Hello, I have been running TCMD12 for quite some time on my computer at work. Since the admins made the last major update, I noticed that it fell back to status "trial version". Now when I try to re-register, I enter my User Name and the Take Command Key, but the only thing that I get after...
