    Windows Terminal

Thanks; I had searched, but not far enough back! I found it an interesting exercise, but not very usable, Even if I run Terminal elevated, it does not appear to run TCC (or anything else) elevated. I could probably tweak things more to my liking, but I am not sufficently keen to do so.

    Windows Terminal

Having seen that TCC is compatible with Windows Terminal I would like to try it. Is there an example of how to set it up in the Terminal settings?

News Update: Code Signing Certificate Status

.... and your certificate on v21 executables (I have overwritten v22) is clearly showing here as revoked.

News Update: Code Signing Certificate Status

Have you looked at the link I posted in another thread here? You first mentioned a Symantec certificate, though you are now calling it Comodo. Many Symantec certificates have been revoked: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/03/01/trustico_digicert_symantec_spat/

    Sudden "registration expired" notice

Thanks for the fix: I was in the process of dropping back to v20 when I refreshed the other thread about the problem and saw the link to this one. Many Symantec certificates have been revoked: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/03/01/trustico_digicert_symantec_spat/

    How to? Customize Keyboard?

I have just upgraded from 18 to 20 and to Windows 10. Is keyboard customization still available? The help still reads, "The keyboard can be customized by selecting Customize Keyboard from the Tools menu." But I cannot see this option, and cannot set my familiar TCC shortcuts. I have tried...

    Sendmail w/GMail - problem

You should use an 'app password' to bypass 2-step authentication. The procedure is described at https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 I believe Google requires TLS, not SSL. And in our applications we had to use a special modified certificate handler because the Google...

    TCC control-C copy operation

From a console window. No problem in TC, where I can highlight text with a left-mouse-drag and then ctrl-c works OK. Shift-left and shift-right do not show any highlight (for me) in a console window. However I tried shift-left on the command line and though I saw only cursor movement...

    TCC control-C copy operation

Is there some trick to getting the 'new in 17' control-C functionality to work? None of the key combinations marked as highlight operations on the command line itself cause any highlighting to appear; the only way I can highlight anything anywhere in the TCC command window is to use the old...

"do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer"

It seems you have set the program to require elevation, so that you can use it to access anywhere, but you don't like the resulting UAC prompt when it starts. All you need to do is get Task Manager to run TCC for you (or TC). If configured correctly, it can start it on demand, elevated and...

'All Downloads' page still links to v13

I had of course done that already, and cleared my browser cache. But it is good now.

    Debug build of textpipeengine.dll ?

During the v14 install, I was surprised to see a familiar debug pop-up from the Delphi memory manager reporting that 'this application has leaked memory', with the usual explanatory note saying that the memory check is only performed if Delphi is running on the same computer (it was). Your...

'All Downloads' page still links to v13

... but the text says there that the latest version is 14. I was able to download 14 by using the top Download menu and selecting Take Command x64.

    V14 Key?

My "Take Command 14 Registration Key" e-mail has arrived in response to my V14 Preview Upgrade order, but in the body text it says that the key will only work with 13.0. Downloading V14 now. I assume the e-mail will turn out to be wrong, rather than the key...

How to? Windows 7 - run TCC as admin w/o UAC intercept

It's very simple to do and needs no external utility. My elevated TCC shortcut reads: C:\Windows\System32\schtasks.exe /run /TN "TCCrun" To set this up, type Task Scheduler in the Run box and run it, click on Create Task, and name the task TCCrun. Be sure to check 'Run with highest...
