On same PC (VER from TCC says Windows version 10.0.17134.471), pretty sure I have both TCC 23 and 24 set to same colors - click the icon in title bar -> Properties -> Colors tab, screen text, click "bright green", shows RGB 22, 198, 12:

This shows screen shots from both 23 and 24:

Any ideas, any setting etc. I'm missing, any further info I can give that would help figure out how to get the brighter foreground back?

Thanks!

Maybe you had the old colour palette before. I like the old more too by the way. So for this old green the RBG is: 0 255 0

This is the new colour palette:
Code:
12 12 12
0 55 218
19 161 14
58 150 221
197 15 31
136 23 152
193 156 0
204 204 204
118 118 118
59 120 255
22 198 12
97 214 214
231 72 86
180 0 158
249 241 165
242 242 242

And here the old one:
Code:
0 0 0
0 0 128
0 128 0
0 128 128
128 0 0
128 0 128
128 128 0
192 192 192
128 128 128
0 0 255
0 255 0
0 255 255
255 0 0
255 0 255
255 255 0
255 255 255

Is this a TCMD tab window, or a TCC stand-alone console session? If the latter, TCC doesn't have anything to do with the colors; they're set by Windows.

Yes, maybe the color palette did switch on me somehow. In TCC 23 when i click the bright green 'tile', the numeric colors display 0 255 0. But in TCC 24, same tile gave 22, 198, 12. Thanks for listing all those out Alpengreis.

Could also be, when I set up TCC 23 I manually entered 0 255 0 and just forgot since then. Bit misleading that the Properties window puts the black 'selected' square around the same bright green whether it's 22 198 12 or 0 255 0.

TCC stand-alone console session. I understand Windows owns the Properties window but got confused by difference when i was setting up TCC 24.

Thanks for the help, all set now!

23 and 24 by default are installed in different places. Windows stores console color settings per path.
If you ever changed the properties for bare exe, not a shortcut, that would explain your issue.
Details can be found in reg:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console\* subkeys.
My recommendation would be to delete all subkeys and configure default palette to your liking.
