Suggestion - addittional NGs

We're moving the Wiki contents into the "Tips and Tricks" forum, so
there won't be a Wiki anymore.

We get maybe two emails a year about website issues, so I doubt there's
going to be much need or activity there.

The general forum issues can be covered in the "Open Forum". I doubt
that after the initial conversion there's apt to be enough traffic to
warrant a separate forum; if there is I'll create one. (Though we're
already getting complaints that there are too many forums.)

sent them.

Is this because I and many other prime support NG contributors have been too
lazy to work on the Wiki? I suppose it is easy for someone to just copy
support NG posts into "Tips and Tricks", which they often are, with a lot
less effort than putting them into the Wiki...

OK.

I just wish mine were.

BTW, I will try to send this w/o receipt request.

I did. It still required over 10 min for it to be reflected. How often does
your "email client" for the emailed NGs scan your email server? It seems
that it is set for 10 min repeat interval. I think you need to set it to be
much faster, in the sparklist MGs 10 min sometimes results in several back
and forth messages in a single thread.

It updates every 10 minutes. It's not possible to set it any faster.

Interesting. It will certainly slow down posting rates by email. Not
necessarily bad, gives us more time for reflection on what to write before
putting pen to paper (or striking the keyboard). Is the cycle synchronized
with the TOD clock (e.g., always when TOD is a multiple of 10 min), or is it
based on mail client start time? If the former, we would know when to hurry
and when to take our time.

BTW, both Outlook Express and Thunderbird can be set to 1-min refresh
period. What mail client do you use?

It's based on the server clock.

The mail client is irrelevant; this is a web server process.
