What causes TCC to be interruped above?

I have a gmail account and the emails were not in my sent mail folder - so they were not sent.

Gmail requires SSL (which you didn't specify). Have you successfully sent anything with SENDMAIL & that gmail account previously?

I have a .INI file with the following lines that I do a for %data in (@file.ini) option //%data

MailServer=smtp.gmail.com
MailAddress=something@gmail.com
MailPort=465
MailUser=something@gmail.com
MailPassword=password

if Gmail requires SSL - is there an entry I can make here so it's ok if I forget to specify /SSL on the sendmail command line?

Go to OPTION / Internet / SMTP and check "Auto SSL" (and set the appropriate port).
