Selecting text is very dificult with a background image

I have a very dark background image.
If I select text the selected (inverted) text can not be seen.
The same happens with different shades of black.

If I set the console color to white on black, without a background image.
the problem goes away.

Is this caused by the background image or is is this also common with other images/

If you have a background image, Take Command cannot flip the background and foreground to their inverses -- all it can do is flip the foreground to its inverse. So you're going to end up with black text on a dark background, which isn't going to be very legible.

TCMD has no idea what color the background is using (nor could it guess unless you're using a single color image -- in which case why bother with an image?), so there's not much it can do about it. If you use something other than white text you should be able to see the marked text.
