Keystroke to copy previous argument

Is there a keystroke to copy the previous argument on the same command line? If it is a filename, I generally delete the last character, then do Tab, F12.

I've wanted something like that myself on occasion. Mostly when renaming a file.

Have you tried my EKeys plugin? You can create a definition:
Code:
ekey ctrl-z=# #
and Control-Z will double the word at the cursor.
