My latest post was emailed back with two "from" fields: JP Software Forums
and Steve Fábián. Also, a response to CSGalloway "Re: Date and Time in
names" I posted by email several days ago, but only showed up a couple of
hours ago.

It was blocked by the anti-spam measures in the forum because you had
embedded URLs in the text. I found it in the blocked list and released it a
couple of hours ago.

Why are URLs spam? How do we direct other NG readers to URLs? It is one
thing to disguise our own email address (e.g., "at" instead of "@"), but
URLs can be very long, and anything but pasting would be frought with
errors.

99.99% of the several thousand spam messages this board gets every day have embedded URLs. Less than 0.1% of the legitimate messages do, and even in those cases there's rarely a real need to do so.
