copying files to DVD or CD

I was wondering just how smart COPY is about copying files to a DVD or CD.
Normally it has to update the DESCRIPT.ION file on the target, over and over for each file copied.

Ideally TCC should compose copy a precomposed DESCRIPT.ION file to the DVD only once.

Normally you don't want to copy a file more than once or update it on a DVD or CD.

Maybe it should just treat DESCRIPT.ION as an ordinary file and copy it verbatim to the target only once.

If you have a CD-RW, that would destroy an existing DESCRIPT.ION.
