CascadePoint Fails to Install (And Some Trouble with TCMD)

I recently bought a new HP TouchSmart computer with the 64-bit Windows 7
operating system. For the most part I have it running quite nicely, but
a few programs have given me trouble.

Tonight I tried installing my copy of CascadePoint. Every time I run the
installation file, it terminates prematurely "because of an error"
(that's all it tells me). I downloaded the file twice and tried the
installation three times. I even tried turning off the User Access
Control. It still failed the same way.

Can anyone offer suggestions or solutions/

While I'm asking, I should add that I'm still having some trouble with
TCMD. After setting it to run as administration, I am able, while
running it, to access all areas of my drives. But I cannot get TCMD to
start up without the pop-up window asking me for permission to let it
run. Can someone tell me how to set the system so that tcmd.exe is
always allowed to run without asking for permission? As it stands now,
TCMD cannot start up when the system boots; I have to launch it
manually. (I believe that while I had the UAC turned off, I did not get
that pop-up.)

No. When I went to the JPSoft website, I did not find a 64-bit version,
so I assumed that there was a single version for both 32-bit and 64-bit.

I managed to find the 64-bit version only by doing a Google search,
which found a forum posting with the file location.

Indeed, the 64-bit version did install. However, I got an error message
that the driver was not signed and that the driver was not installed. I
was supposed to get a choice that allowed the driver to be installed
even though it was not signed, but no such option ever appeared. So, it
appears that CascadePoint is now installed but unable to run.

CascadePoint does not yet support Windows 7. (Microsoft changed a couple of
critical APIs and I've been too busy with TCMD v11 to spend the time to
update CascadePoint.)
