    Sudden "registration expired" notice

... and could you at the same time answer my question about moving a license from one computer to another. I need the offline process for both (I can get to the computer bound key generation site).

    How to? Register offline?

(As usual, I am confused about this, since I have to do it so rarely). Just got a new computer at work. Looked up my activation key for v21. Normal registration can't be done becasue of firewall restrictions. Tried to use the offline method: entered activation key and computer id (this is...

    Problems registering

Is this something new? TCMD 15 certainly worked in non-admin mode on XP ... I just got converted to W7x64. I also seem to remember that there were methods of providing the registration key that did not require admin...

    Problems registering

On the home page it says "Need Support? We are here for you!". So where is here? Considering that I have been a paid user of 4DOS, 4OS2, 4NT and now TCMD for over 20 years and have bought every version (except 17 as of yet) I would have expected some response by now ...

    Problems registering

I am trying to run (and register) a v15 Take Command on a W7 host without installing (I do not have admin privileges). I get a prompt to elevate to admin. I see that it is trying to "regsvr32.exe /s IsLicense50.dll". Since I don't have admin, I dismiss this. Then I get a prompt to...

    Can't access textpipeengine.dll

Looks like that was it. The good news is that running regsvr32 command produced a dialog stating that the registration succeeded and now afterwards, TPipe works. Many thanks!

    Can't access textpipeengine.dll

Yes. The installation is in C:\4NT and that's what the PATH starts with. TPipe fails in the same way even when the current directory is C:\4NT.

    Can't access textpipeengine.dll

Well, I guess you caught me:oops:. I did the install over an existing TC11 directory. I did some spring cleaning, removed all prugins from the path (verified with PLUGIN command), killed all copies of TCMD/TCC and SHRALIAS, restarted and still get the error. BTW, V and VIEW work fine. Below...

    Can't access textpipeengine.dll

Just upgraded to v14: TCC 14.00.26 Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] TCC Build 26 Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Registered to Peter Koves When truing to use tpipe, I get (even in the TC directory; which for sentimental reasons is C:\4NT): [kovespet@TOAOBXRDTL22G87]C:\4NT>tpipe...

Version of TCMD that does not use the registry for keys, etc

Thanks. I think this latter is OK. Presumably all I need is for TCMD not to show up as an installed application.

Version of TCMD that does not use the registry for keys, etc

Hmm... That's not what I need though. I don't want TCMD to write to the registry even if it has permissions (I want it to be "invisible"). So let me ask it this way. If I copy a TCMD installation from elsewhere to a computer (where it has been uninstalled and registry entries removed) together...

Version of TCMD that does not use the registry for keys, etc

I seem to remember that there is a version of TCMD that doesn't leave tracks in the registry. I tried searching but couldn't find it. Didn't need it before, but as the workplace locks down, I do now.Could somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Is there a way to examine arrays in the batch debugger?

The only (unreasonable) way that I found is to list every index in the watch window. There must (should?) be a better way!

    "Simple question" concerning insert/overstrike mode

Re: "Simple question" concerning insert/overstrike mode Hmm, tricky! But you're right it does work! The only anomaly is that the highlight resulting from the selection is not removed (though there is nothing selected); a small bug. And of course, it does destroy the clipboard content, but I...

    "Simple question" concerning insert/overstrike mode

Since I didn't get a reply, let me try another way. Rex, Please introduce a key binding to set the keyboard mode to Overstrike (or to insert if that is your preference). One binding for either is enough for all purposes together with the existing insert/overstrike toggle binding (Ins directive).
