How to? Limiting Autocompletion to Directory Names (on-the-fly)

Using the OPTION command, go to "Command Line" tab, the "Filename Completion" area and type cd:dirs in the "Options:" box. Click the "Apply" button. Then at the command line type cd <space> then hit the tab key to cycle through directories.

    HISTORY /F

Strange. I've installed it on two different desktops and one laptop and on all three 'history /f' does not clear the list. It works fine with TCCLE 11. I've tried verison 12 with my TCCLE 11 ini file and with "no" ini file but cannot get 'history /f' to clear the history list. I'll keep...

TCCLE 12 B24 (XP SP3) Does /F for the HISTORY command work? Matt

    Windows technology and TC

Obviously meant "a few hits of the Enter key" to get the TCC prompt to reflect the changed directory in the GUI.

    Windows technology and TC

Thanks for the reply Steve. I downloaded TC 11 and tried the PRE_INPUT alias defined as `*CDD "%_tcfolder"`. It seems to take a few <enter> hits in the TCC prompt to get it to change directories to %_tcfolder. Maybe I'm thinking of a feature request (ie option) for a "special" TCC prompt which...

    Command Input window

It would be interesting to see if the command input window could bridge a closer relationship between the GUI part of TC and a TCC tab. That was kind of the idea of my earlier post asking if Windows would allow that kind of behavior which I think would be pretty powerful. But it would also be...

    Windows technology and TC

Does the technology in windows allow the close interaction of the GUI part of TC which would enable interactions with the command line portion directly? In other words, will it ever be possible to have the following in TC? (1) A follow-me concept. Where you navigate in the GUI is mirrored at...

    Popup directory history

Just to clear up a few issues. Each of my JPSoft install directories (for TC 9, TCC/LE 10 and TCC/LE 11) each have their own TCMD.INI file so I don't think I'm sharing an ini file. And the option command for versions 10 and 11 of TCC/LE point to their respective TCMD.INI files. Also I ran TC...

    Popup directory history

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><meta name="ProgId" content="Word.Document"><meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Word 10"><meta name="Originator" content="Microsoft Word 10"><link rel="File-List"...

    Popup directory history

Sorry, I may be using the wrong terminology here. It is not the dir "history" popup, but the popup you get when you type: cd temp* which maybe is called the "change directory" popup? This loads the directories from jpstree.idx? Matt

    Popup directory history

Strange, my testing of TCC/LE (10.76) with TCC (9.02.156) versus TCC/LE (11.33) with TCC (9.02.156) indicates the behavior I reported. So, I'm not sure what you "fixed" in TCC/LE 11.33 with respect to the dir history popup. On my system the dir history popup problem with TCC (9.02.156) no...

    Popup directory history

XP SP2 TCC 9.02.155, TCC/LE 11 Build 33 After Installing TCC/LE, and running TCC (9.02.155) at the same time I noticed that in TCC (9.02) if I type the command (for example): cd temp* I no longer see a popup directory listing. If I hit enter TCC changes directory as if the popup is...

    Take Command / TCMD/LE 9.02.156 uploaded

I guess I should have been more explicit. Windows XP (SP3). I downloaded and installed Activestate Perl 510. Then installed build 156, so it seems to work now. What I meant before is that removing via the control panel worked but when I tried to install build 154 it said a newer version was...

    Take Command / TCMD/LE 9.02.156 uploaded

This version doesn't seem to install correctly, stating perl510 is missing. Them it doesn't seem to remove correctly (from the control panel) so it won't let me reinstall build 154 stating a newer version is currently installed. Any ideas on how I can get build 154 re-installed?
